Baroque music and fireworks
"Out of the ordinary" is the perfect word to describe this crazy project, the brainchild of Emmanuelle Haïm and David Fray. Le Concert d'Astrée continues the work begun in 2022 with Water Music, offering a new concert of ceremonial music, this time in the open air, in the grandiose setting of the Payolle lake, at the foot of the Pic du Midi. The floating stage is reminiscent of the many boats covering the Thames with all the musicians in the kingdom at the signing of the 2nd Treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle in London in 1749. A grandiose spectacle combining the majesty of music with the sparkle of fireworks.
